CHRIS RYAN was born in England in 1961. He joined the SAS in 1984. During his ten years in the elite squadron, he was involved in overt and covert operation, and was Sniper team commander of the anti-terrorist team. During the Gulf War, Chris was the only member of an eight-man team to escape from Iraq. For this he was awarded the Military Medal. Ryan also selected and trained potential recruits for the SAS.
He is the author of numerous bestsellers in the U.K., including the number one bestseller Ultimate Weapon, The One that Got Away, which was also adapted into a film, Stand By, Stand By, Zero Option, The Kremlin Device, Tenth Man Down, The Hit List, The Watchman, Land of Fire, Greed, The Increment and Blackout. He lectures in business motivation and is currently starring in the Military Channel’s television series, “Special Forces: Manhunt.”
